WASHINGTON, D.C — Balochistan National Congress (BNC), in a statement in response to Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reform Ahsan Iqbal’s speech that there will be no demographic change in Balochistan, said, that in order to prevent such demographic changes, Islamabad must address the genuine Baloch demands and reservations of Baloch citizens regarding the CPEC, Rekodiq, Sandak project, Sui gas royalties and Census and take them into confidence and on board.
“If rulers in Islamabad are truly, honestly and sincerely interested in preventing such demographic changes in Balochistan and solving Balochistan's bleeding conflict within the federation of Pakistan, then all Afghan refugees living in Balochistan should be returned back to their country Afghanistan, their fake birth certificates, local certificates, Pak ID Cards and Pakistani Passports be cancelled and their names removed from the Balochistan's voter registration and Census lists in Balochistan,” said Dr. Baloch, the President of BNC.
He said, constitutional guarantee are a must to safeguard and protect the social, economic and legal rights of Baloch people in Balochistan. Without such constitutional guarantee and affirmative actions, there is no way of ensuring the fair play and justice.
He said, the anti-Baloch Pashtun FC, which is main cause of the problem rather than being the solution, should be removed from all Balochistan's cities and towns and replaced by the jobless frustrated Baloch youths and the Pashtun FC should be deployed in Pak-Afghan border to check and control the infiltration of terrorists and drug smugglers across the border.
All Pashtun areas of Balochistan should be joined to KPK province and the Baloch areas of Punjab, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajan Pur, should be re-joined back to Balochistan.
Balochistan National Congress (BNC) is the new emerging voice of Baloch people, especially the ordinary middle class Baloch men and women, both inside and outside Balochistan, to inspire, lead and empower them and prepare them for the future challenges.
