Govt committed to Balochistan's development: President




Mamnoon Hussain says CPEC would usher in a new era of prosperity in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan

President Mamnoon Hussain has reiterated the government's resolve to carry out development projects for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Balochistan.

He said this while talking to Speaker Balochistan Assembly Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani in Islamabad.

First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain was also present on the occasion.

The President said that with the completion of Gwadar Port and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project a new era of prosperity would usher in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan.

He felicitated Rahila Durrani on being elected as the first woman Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly and hoped that she would play a positive role in strengthening the democratic traditions in the province.

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday expressed satisfaction over the improved law and order situation in Balochistan and reiterated the government’s resolve to carry out development projects for the welfare and prosperity of the people of the province.

The president said this while talking to Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr here.

First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain was also present on the occasion.
