‘Balochistan needs 10,000 more schools’

Sunday, December 20, 2015 - Quetta—Sardar Raza Muhammad Baraich, the Advisor to the Chief Minister Balochistan on Education has said that Balochistan needed more 10,000 schools to impart education to children as 1.6 million children are out of school in the province. He said that Balochistan government would continue providing financial assistance and support to the best students for the promote merit in the education sector.

He was speaking at the scholarships distribution ceremony among the best students of various educational institutions under Balochistan Education Endowment Funds, here. He said that present coalition government had ensured taking revolutionary steps to keep education standard high and drawing a guide line towards correct side during last two and half years.

Former Secretary Finance and Director General National Institute of Management, Mahfooz Ali Khan, Secretary Education Abdul Saboor Khan Kakar and other officials also spoke at the ceremony. He said that education was very important component for moving towards development and provincial government was giving full attention on increasing education standard in the province.

Balochistan Endowment Fund is determination of the provincial government towards promoting merit in the education sector.—APP
