Poverty, illiteracy main challenges of Balochistan: CM
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch said that poverty and illiteracy were two major challenges of his province.
Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Chief Minister Baloch said that Balochistan has rich resources of gas, gold and copper, but people are dying of hunger.
‘Target killing, kidnapping for ransom and other crimes have come down considerably,” he aid.
“We will not let any foreign company plunder our resources,” Baloch said.
The chief minister said that 5, 000 teachers were being hired in the province through National Testing Service. “We have set up three medical colleges and two universities in just one year.”
He said that he has increased education budget from two to 24 percent.
