QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that Pakistan is a victim of chaos as a nation and to face the engulfing impact of the globalisation, it needs to follow in the footprints of Gul Khan Naseer and his likes.
He said this on Tuesday at the Quetta Press Club addressing to a book-launching ceremony on the life and services of Mir Gul Khan Naseer organized by Zind Academy Nushki in Quetta. He further said that Mir Gul Khan Naseer is his ideal personality, adding that Mir Gul Khan Naseer, Mir Muhammad Hussain Anqa, Mir Yousaf Aziz Magsi, Atta Shaad and other poets promoted positive values in the Baloch society.
He said that if we need to protect ourselves from political chaotic and the negative impacts of globalisation, we need to make the teachings of these elders as our role model, adding that this is the need of the time that we take and promote our values. He also stressed upon the youngsters and the coming generations to appreciate their poets and literary figures and read their writings and other publications. He said that wisdom only comes through reading literature.
He said that the newspapers, Internet and media fulfil the mental needs of men but they do not nourish the thoughts in depth and therefore, to reach the soul of the human values, we have to value literature which is the national need of our people. He also appreciated the efforts of the Zind Academy for the revival of the Balochi literature and made sure his cooperation to them.
