Balochistan issue not easy to resolve overnight: Dr Malik Baloch

KARACHI: Balochistan CM, Dr. Abdul Mallick has said that political and military elements want immediate resolve of Baloch issue, (but) which has deteriorated beyond control.

Talking to members of governing body of Karachi Press Club, including president Imtiaz Khan Faran, vice president Saeed Sarbazi, secretary Aamir Latif, joint secretary Shams Kario, members governing body Irshad Khokhar, Kafeel-ud-Din Faizan, on Wednesday, Liaqat Mughal, and others, the Baloch CM denied National Party's mood of conflict with federal government, but nevertheless he painted a grin picture of the Province.

He cited many examples of progress and development in the Province, which included appointment of a Baloch as chairman of Gwadar Port, representation of Baloch in board of directors, construction of roads and highways etc.

"We had made it clear to federal government that locals should be handed over the control of Gwadar Port, instead of colonization" he stated; while also citing adding of 700Mws of electricity in Provincial grid by next week , followed by another 800Mws within next few months.

He also said that the previous practice of reciting Quranic verses while traveling from Quetta to Khuzdar ( an Islamic belief and practice to ward of any dangers of 'fateful travel' ) had come to an end , which signaled peace, harmony and relative safety in traveling.

The governing body of Karachi Press Club also gifted a traditional Sindhi Ajrak (body wrapping) and cap to the Baloch CM.
